Coffee And Kahlua Sorbet

Adjust the amount of coffee granules and Kahlua to your personal taste. Ice cream makers can be used instead of freeze/stir/freeze. This recipe makes 8 servings.
  • 600 ml / 1 pint water
  • 125g / 4 oz caster sugar
  • 60g / 1 oz instant coffee granules
  • 8 shots Kahlua
Put the water, sugar and coffee in a saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally. Simmer gently for about five minutes. Remove from the heat and leave to cool, then add kahlua and mix. Freeze until slushy. Stir the mixture until smooth, then freeze until solid.

This sorbet should be soft from the freezer, and melts quite quickly.
