Fear Insanity

Alarm

6 A.M. I woke,
And I died a little inside -
I hate alarm clocks.

Bacon

The smell of bacon
Always makes my mouth water,
Even when I'm stuffed.

Bare Feet

I am two bare feet.
Love's winter makes the floor cold -
Will you be my socks?

Beach

Sitting on the beach,
Alone with nothing but stones;
The sea roars and sighs.

Blushing

Blood rushed to my face.
Only then did I look down
And cover myself.

Cat

Crouching to attack
And brutally tear apart
The shiny foil ball.

Curtains

The curtains are closed
In the window of your soul -
Open them for me.

Fleeing

Fleeing from the dog,
I wonder what made it mad.
My legs are quite tired.

Flowers

Early spring flowers,
Crushed under an inch of snow -
Such tragic beauty.

Gun

A gun in my hand,
I look out into the rain,
And I wait for him.

Moon

The moon sleeps, shining,
Lighting the eternal night,
Snoring at the stars.

Paint

I don't have the paint
To make the picture of her,
Or the perfect brush.

Riddles

Riddles spin my head.
Words, which hide deeper meaning
Are all I can see.

Rivers

The rivers of life
Extinguish my fiery soul,
Yet they wash me clean.

Tears

Like morning dew drops,
The tears remain on your face.
No spring can dry them.

Toast

Let us raise a glass
And toast in celebration -
I like mine with jam.

Untitled haikus

I want you to see
All the things that I have seen,
And give you the world.
I pick up every stone,
Seeing the beauty in each;
Leave them on the shore.
I don't have the words
To say what needs to be said,
So I will not try.
When I read your words,
The great distance between us
Does not seem so far.

Fear Insanity

I've used this last one to illustrate the principle of haiku writing.
The first line has five syllables, the second line has seven, and the last has five again.

W00t, / w00t, / w00t, / w00t, / pling!
I'm / the / pre/dic/tive / jar/gon
Jar/gon / wom/bat, / me.
